Vicki joined Dolleymores in 2000, qualified as a UK and European Trade Mark Attorney in 2001 and became a Partner in 2007.
After passing the Institute of Legal Executive Examinations in 1994 and 1995 with distinction, Vicki focused on trade mark matters. She gained extensive experience working in-house at Carlton Home Entertainment before moving to private practice in London in 1997, where she worked with major international clients in finance, fashion, fast-moving consumer goods (including beverages), telecommunications and entertainment.
One of her main strengths has always been in tailoring, organizing, monitoring, and prosecuting large worldwide trade mark portfolios. For one client alone, she filed around 3,000 applications and successfully defended one of their key brands against opposition in 20 countries worldwide.
Vicki has seen the role and importance of a Trade Mark Attorney change and grow over the 28 years she has been in this profession. This has certainly kept the role interesting. Part of this growth is due to the advancement in technology, the way goods are manufactured, distributed, promoted and sold, where goods are manufactured, how services are promoted and provided, and the new challenges trade mark owners face in protecting their brand and enforcing their rights in an ever changing and fast-moving environment. She therefore recognises the importance of keeping up to date with the changes around us so that she is ready to provide clients with good, quick pragmatic advice and solutions to address the issue that has arisen.
When she’s not immersed in trade mark issues, Vicki enjoys CrossFit, Hyrox, running, open water swimming and trekking. She has completed numerous marathons and ultra marathons, swum the London Docklands 10km event, Lake Bala and Llyn Padarn in Wales, climbed Kilimanjaro, Mount Toubkal, Kala Patthar and trekked to Everest Base Camp. There is always a new challenge to be had.
