In response to the Covid-19 situation the UKIPO declared 24 March 2020, and subsequent days as interrupted days.

This meant that any deadlines for trade marks, patents, supplementary protection certificates and designs,  and any applications for these rights, which fell on an interrupted day would be extended until the IPO announced the end of the interrupted days period.

On 22 June 2020 the UKIPO reviewed the situation and has now directed that the interrupted period will come to an end on Wednesday 29 July 2020.  This will mean that the first normal day of operation when all interrupted days deadlines expire will be Thursday 30 July 2020.
